On The Road

Kimberley Safari May 27th

Kimberley Safari May 24th

This week brings two tour groups onto the wonderful red dirt of the Kimberley. I think that everyone is still shiny and clean. Matthew and Russell lead the group On the Road and Down the Red.

The feedback from guests who walked the rim of Wolfe Creek Crater and into the Crater – thought it was wonderful and well worth the rough track in.

You get a completely different perspective of the landscape from the air. Most of the guests decided to do the helicopter flights over Purnululu ( Bungle Bungles) before the day in amongst the beehive like formations. The track  this year seems to have had a bit more work done to it and is not as punishing to the vehicles.

Purnululu Hike

This season we are staying at the Lake Argyle Resort before we restock in Kununurra to head down the Gibb River Road. I am waiting to hear from the groups how the Lake Argyle Sunset Cruise and meal at the restaurant was. I am sure it was absolutely FANTASTIC.

Lake Argyle Relaxation

The next stage of our guests adventures is going on The Gibb River Road.  They will be our first groups for the season to experience the tracks and gorges ( some of which are still closed – but will be open by the time we reach them – Tunnel Creek and Silent Grove)

Roads are open on the Gibb
